WANTED: Board Member
Have you ever considered serving on the MonDak’s board of directors?
Strong boards have a wide diversity of abilities, opinions and backgrounds. Please fill out this simple questionnaire: Prospective Board Member Questionnaire. It is designed to find out about your background and interests in the Center and will also help the board better take advantage of your interests and strengths if you are selected to join the board. Our recruitment process considers multiple candidates and includes an interview with a committee member. We also want to provide information to you on how our board operates and the responsibilities of board members.
These are the basic board member responsibilities:
- Setting policy
- Supporting your director
- Guiding long-range planning and development
- Raising money and monitoring finances
- Working cooperatively with other board members
- Regularly attend meetings and functions of the museum
We also encourage you to talk to some board members and to the Executive Director, who can be reached at 406-433-3500, to get a better idea how the board and Center operate. We also encourage you to attend a board meeting as a visitor. Please call or email Board President Joe Bradley with any questions (email@example.com, 415-987-8546). We would also be happy to provide you a copy of last years’ financial summary and the current approved budget.
If you are interested in applying to serve on the board, please return this form to either the MDHC or the board president. Applications will be kept private.
Board members are elected by the membership at the annual meeting in September and serve 3 year terms.
