The Cockerline Collection
June 13 - August 12Free
The Cockerline Collection offers a portal into the art history, pop culture, and political climate of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Many printmakers of the time drew influence from current events, including Apollo 11’s moon landing, racial divisions, the allure of celebrities, opposition to the war in Vietnam, and the Feminist Movement. Other artists drew upon emotions, places, or the human condition to produce their work. The full collection consists of 531 works by 204 artists, including Jim Dine, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Motherwell, Andy Warhol, and Henri Matisse. Sponsored by MAGDA.
