Train in Art: Train & Depot = Light, Energy, Motion exhibit, explores rail life and activity through colorful contemporary eyes. A collaboration by Sheila Hrasky and Tandy Miles Riddle, this collection represents a blending of perspectives by two female artists on a historically male realm at the intersection of realism and abstraction. Riddle’s work brings out familiar sights in a soft but confident and challenging expressive light, and Hrasky’s work puts a sharper and vivid definition on more conceptual compositions. The pieces run from smaller watercolors to very large oils and offer a second look at the commonplace and familiar sights of rail imagery, both static and dynamic. Both award-winning artists have decades of exhibition experience in several states. Sponsored by the Montana Art Gallery Directors Association (MAGDA).
