Williston Area Visual Artists
October 3 - November 4Free
Explore the Williston Area Visual Artists (WAVA) show, featuring artwork in different mediums from artists in and around Williston, North Dakota. The show runs from October 3 to November 4 at the MonDak!
This year’s show includes many artists’ interpretations of club challenges. Each artist received a square or two of a painting to complete that when put together became “The Scream” by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. For another challenge artists submitted pieces of their favorite era.
WAVA organized in 1967 to support artists and the arts and provides a nurturing and supportive environment by which artists will feel inspired and encouraged and thereby further enhance the enthusiasm of the art community. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the James Memorial Art Center in Williston and welcomes all levels of artists working in many different mediums. Members also often participate in open studio night at the James Memorial Art Center every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. to continue to hone their skills and network with other artists.
